Monday catching up

Yesterday was a relaxing day, well after I exercised.  The owner of the construction company came and worked on the bathroom also!  He has come few other Sundays as well. That is impressive to me! 

Stac and I made chocolate chip cookies yesterday afternoon.  I gave 3 to the guy working on the bathroom since he was so nice about coming on Sunday. 

This morning I took a few pictures of the moon but they are on my other computer so I'll have to post them tomorrow.

In the meantime though I can post pictures of the bathroom. The tile is nearly done.  The toilet is partially in. Would you believe the seat is not included?  I didn't even notice that but when I located the one we got and looked at the details it does not include a seat. Hubby is going to go get one tomorrow morning.  I'm cautiously optimistic about the vanity that may arrive as early as Saturday.  I am hoping the same exact box doesn't arrive!  Doubtful I hope! :)  We don't know exactly what is happening to the one we refused to take. Hopefully it is on its way back to Wayfair and they can send it back to the manufacturer.

Work was fine today.  It was nice having the weekend off, so that I could handle everything my way without feeling a ton of stress. That was nice. :-)

Got my chunks

Well I probably should have taken before pics but here are a few after pics.  I got my blond chunks today she actually called pieces to mean the same thing.  But anyway it is a little tussled so the exact lines of the chunks are not really evident in these pictures but I'm happy with them. 

The youngest is here visiting for the weekend too so we went down to the square for a little shopping then hubby, her and I went out to dinner for the birthdays and our wedding anniversary celebration. Would have been really complete if the oldest were here too.  ;-)

It was a good day and oh I didn't mention I actually slept in today until 8:17AM. For me that is great!

Finally Friday

Yay!  Friday is here and I am not working this weekend!  It has been a long, frustrating week. I just poured myself a tiny (yes this is a cute little glass) bit of blackberry brandy.  Welcome to a relaxing weekend!

I finally stopped stressing about the vanity yesterday and we ordered another one from Lowes to be delivered and taken upstairs (after the box is opened).  It may not come until October 3rd or a few days after that but I'm hoping, no I'm praying that this time it goes smoothly.  I hope the vanity is not damaged and that they get it upstairs okay. 

Here's a picture of what it looks like. Isn't it nice?!  That is why I keep pursuing it!

Here are some updated pictures of the bathroom. The tiling is almost done.  After that the toilet will go in and the fixtures will go up that we have.  The vanity and back splash for it (glass tile that see in tub area) will go in when it gets here. 

It is a little hard to see but this is our new light too. Here is a close up of the light.

 It is looking very nice I think!  Tomorrow I am getting a few blond chunks put in my hair so hope that goes well.  Well the news is coming on so I'm going to post this and get ready to hit the sack.

Vanity woes

Vanity arrived today.  .Here was the box. Yup it was broken (cabinet back was pushed in). The wood was broken.

We refused to accept it. They took it back and hubby got on phone with both transport company and Wayfair.  End result?  Refund!  Thank God!  I'm really tired so will write more tomorrow. Promise!

It is late.  Need to hit the sack. Just finished work.

Oh...need to say STILL no Vanity!  Now tomorrow mid morning.
We'll see!

Saga continues...

So this morning I called Wayfair at about 8:15AM to see if they could get through to the transport company which keep in mind is only AUSTIN which is only about an hour from here!!  They are the ones after all that I purchased the vanity from and as far as I'm concerned their reputation is getting tarnished as well.

The gal I spoke to was nice and said she'd get in touch with them and email me when has status of my delivery.  Well got to be 3:00PM and NOTHING again. So I called Wayfair again. Pretty much told the gal there (different one) that although she was nice and I didn't blame her personally, I will never ever buy from Wayfair again!  This has stressed me out so much wondering when or even if we'd get the vanity for our bathroom!! She said they were awaiting the transport company to contact actually me to confirm when would deliver and they they would confirm with me. Clearly the biggest issue is the local transport company but they are working on behalf of Wayfair so all the same to me. She said they should have confirmation within 24 hours. Seriously? Another 24 hours?? As my anger escalated I did hang up on her (well I told her I have to hang up as I couldn't talk anymore) and I slammed the phone down.

Got a call finally around 4PM from the transport place to expect deliver tomorrow and they gave me the 4 hour window once again. I asked if it was really going to be delivered and she said yes.  We are going to make them wait until we've checked it over to see if there is any damage. Fingers crossed it comes and that it is perfectly fine! 

Here's some updated photos of the progress.  The floor is in (not grouted yet).  Looking more and more like a bathroom. :-)

Where or where?

Is our Vanity?  Ugh!  We were supposed to get it delivered today between 11 and 3, and nothing.  I ended up calling. They were going to call me back when they contacted the driver. Nothing..so I called before 5:00PM.  They said my Vanity did not make it on the truck.  The reason? They can't find it. Wonderful!  I'm using a special service because they will take it upstairs for an extra charge.  The vanity is just over 300 lbs so it was important to not have to get it upstairs ourselves. They never called back tonight and they claim to be open 24/7.  Right.

I guess I'll start calling them tomorrow until I get to talk to a supervisor and find out what is going on. I don't want it lost or damaged.  The guys will be ready for it in a few days too.  So fingers crossed we get some good news tomorrow.

Well another Monday is nearly over.  I'll be putting a full week of work in this week so it will probably feel like a long week. Oye!
