Birthdays

 Well January is nearly over.. .but not without its celebrations.  Although we couldn't visit the kids due to COVID cautions.. our granddaughter turned 1 yesterday, which is also when my oldest turned 33.  It sure makes remembering their birthdays easy.  And today is my Tika's 14th birthday.  No special cake for her but she did get an extra bite of warm bread.  :)   This is how she spends a lot of her time these days.. but she still loves face rubs, loves to bark when it is meal time and always wants to be near me.  She is the oldest dog we've had so far...it warms my heart that she is still with us. 

Today while I was working, I kept seeing birds flying back and forth out the window, so I got up and took this video.  Remember the movie 'The Birds"  :)

Happy New Year!! 2021

 It is still January, so I can still say Happy New Year, right?! :)

A few weeks ago I was mentioning to hubby that a good project for the spring would be to replace the last bedroom floor which had old Berber carpeting about 38+ years old in it.  He was so excited he went upstairs with a measuring tape.  So he has already done it!!  He has been very sore as he was using muscles he hasn't used in quite some time.  But as I told him the other day 'He's still got it."  Here are some BEFORE and AFTER pictures.  There are some photos with orbs in them.  Pretty neat!  Looks beautiful!  This was our youngest's bedroom but has been turned into a music room. Can you tell?

I will blog more this year too.  It is not a resolution, it is a promise :)
