Sunday evening already? Yes.

Tomorrow is April 1st and in Central Texas the lows should be in the upper 50's but tomorrow it is forecasted to be in the upper 30's in the morning.  Bundle up time again.  Oye!  It will get warm soon, right?

I did a LIVE today for some of my Lularoe.  I focused on the new with tags pieces.  A few came to visit but no bites.  I'm going to take pictures of them all and post them in a few days and try that too. Some of the video footage is not all that clear and doesn't do the pieces justice!

Today my oldest and I finished the 2nd book of a 3 part series.  It was over 700 pages, one of the longest books I've read.   But it is a very good series so I don't mind.  :-)

Well I guess I better end this here and tomorrow morning will be here before I know it.

Today was a nice relaxing day.  I didn't do any housework except put one load of laundry in the washer and started it.  And actually hubby took care of it after that so that wasn't much at all.

I enjoyed singing today on Singsnap.com.  I was able to sing 5 songs well enough that I saved them. It has been almost a month since I've been on it so that was really nice.  I need to sing way more often no matter what!  It does lift my spirits some too.

We had a nice dinner at home this evening and then I asked hubby to get me a Sonic Blast.  I haven't had one of those since last year!  Unfortunately it was soupy ! :-(   It is not hot outside either .It is in the 50's so I think their machine was either turned on too late in the day or not working right.  I ate about half if it and put the rest in the freezer which I'll have tomorrow.  It wasn't so bad that it didn't taste good, just that one expects a frozen treat to be frozen (like ice cream), not slushy.

We are watching Live PD right now (because our county represents on it). It is fun to try to guess the area that is involved.  Usually cannot identify the streets or landmarks enough but still interesting.  All in all a great Saturday (even though it is cold again).  ;-)

Friday night and feeling alright... :)

Today I went for a partial walk so I won't make my 10,000 steps today but the gal I walk with wasn't going to walk today so I started out later and didn't walk as far.  It is still so dark in the morning.
I just checked my Fitbit and I have 7411 steps so yes won't even be to 8000.

Got through the work day and once again did not do my Paparazzi Live which was nice.  I am going to doing it on a Monday night next time and see how much response I get.  I am really on the fence about whether I want to continue to dump money and time into it.  Sometimes we have to just decide that direct sales businesses are not for us.  I originally joined just so I could get my own jewelry but then at some point bought more and more and I don't have any type of network to sell it. I've done lives for 6 months with no followers, posted the jewelry on Instagram and Pinterest.  I don't work outside the home so it isn't like I can sell it at work, etc. If it weren't for the ladies lunch group I started where some nice gals have bought some pieces from me, I'd really be crying the blues.  The local vendor events that I have checked already have a representative....it just seems like the writing is on the wall.   I had hoped social media would be a worthwhile avenue to revenue but that has been a big disappointment for me.

I plan to just do fun things this weekend!  I want to sing, do stuff with hubby and maybe do a LIVE on one of the Lularoe anything goes groups and try to sell some of my personal Lularoe at a discount to try to make room in my closets.

Well good news.  I was really worried about the insurance issues, and while it is still an issue, I spoke with a very nice agent today who provides quotes from several companies and he told me I need to be sent a notice of cancellation and have 30 days from then before my insurance ends.  By the abrupt email I got, I thought that we were dropped right away.

So at least I don't feel the sense of doom that I did yesterday.  I think we've decided to just put the title back into both our names and then get different insurance for everything.  I don't care for agents that are rude and no tact in dealing with long time customers.

I got my hair done right after work this evening.  It is always nice to get a fresh coloring, cut and style.  My hair stylist always has a way to make me look younger when she does my hair. Too bad it doesn't last for more than a few days. :-)

Tomorrow is Friday and I am so glad!!  This has been a rough week or so it seems.

After my father died, my mother had a Trust created and made me the Trustee which was fine with me.  This was a way to avoid probate which I had already gone through with my father and took time and was quite expensive, although I did find out later that the attorney used for both probate and her Trust was one of the most expensive in this city!

But anyway by having the Trust in place it was fairly easy to liquidate and divide out my mom's estate except for one stock that we never placed in her Trust and it was not one held by a well known brokerage like Schwab or Fidelity.  It was a smaller company in New York.  Well that company did not want to turn over her stock without a waiver of probate or proof of completed probate which we were obviously not going through. Texas does not do nor even recognizes a "waiver of probate".  Anyway my hubby and I decided last year to get a Trust for us and had a nice female estate attorney draw up our Trust at a much more reasonable fee than the other attorney. She also eventually helped us with my mom's stock issue though that was not cheap!!  Flat fee for a Trust but for other things it was more like hourly fees and again, was way more expensive than I expected.

Anyway that finally got resolved and distributed last October several months following my moms death.

So back to our Trust.  It is very disturbing to me that something that is a legal form of ownership, meant to make life easier upon the death of the trustees of a Trust, can turn out to be so difficult to obtain everything that is needed as instructed by the Trust attorney.  Whenever anyone gets a Trust the objective is to place every asset owned in the name of that trust.  Okay. I thought no problem, I'm a financial person.  So we went to our bank to change the ownership of our accounts into the Trust name. They refused to do it.  Not unless we got a separate tax ID for the Trust. Our Trust attorney assured us we could use one of our social security numbers which is exactly what my mom did as well. It didn't matter how I explained it to the lady at the bank they would not do that.  I was not about to set up a separate Tax ID for it that would require separate record keeping and possible tax returns for the Trust.  It was not meant to be that difficult and we do not have that many assets anyway.

I called the attorney's office and we were able to obtain the name of a bank that would allow us to open an account in the name of the Trust.  So we pulled all our accounts from the nationally well known bank to this other bank, so that we could get our meager assets into the Trust name.  But then I wanted to have my paychecks direct deposited into that account.  Nope. Couldn't do that unless the checks were made out to the Trust.  Seriously?   Oh.. I failed to mention that when my mom was alive we were able to get that first bank that refused me, to change her account into a Trust savings so that really made no sense that when we went to change our account holder name, they refused.

We did open a Trust account which was all well and good. But we also had to open a regular bank account so that I could deposit my paychecks into that account. Seriously! Why do they make having things in a Trust so difficult?

Okay fast forward to the last thing we had to get into the Trust, our vehicles which we finally got titled into the Trust as our attorney recommended. I had asked if that was really necessary and she gave me the example of if my husband died, I would not be able to transfer the title out of his name without going through probate, the thing we were avoiding by going through all this Trust mess. The DMV would want the Death Certificate and the Affidavit of probate or whatever the document was called that I took with me when we changed my dad's car title.  So we just did what we were told to do right?

I got around to emailing our auto insurance agent today with a copy of the titles in case they needed to be notified of the change.  What do I get?  A reply email from our agent telling me that they can only insure individuals who own their cars.  WTF?  So now we have another problem. I don't know if that means we aren't insured now or what.  Hubby is going to go talk to our agent but I just can't believe whenever we are doing something we are told to do (which is allowed to be done and for which the purpose of the Trust is in place), it causes nothing but problems. We've had our cars and homeowners insurance with them for years too.   And to get that short response like that to me was really rude!

If we can't keep our insurance, we'll either have to spend time and effort calling insurance companies to see if they will cover autos titled in a Trust or if need be change the title back again which would really make me angry.  It is not right!  We are still the ones driving the cars.  Our Trust cannot drive the cars, we are the trustees of the Trust . UGH!  So the saga continues...

Even though probate is very costly and takes months to go through, I am not really sure that I would recommend going the Trust route for anyone who might ask me.  I'm keeping the Trust now that we've gone through all of it, but it is very maddening to have so many issues that go along with moving things into the Trust!  The attorneys that handle setting up the Trust should give folks a list of all the banks and insurance companies that recognize Revocable Trusts under one or the other persons identification so that clients can know where they can turn when they keep hitting walls like this.  I'm afraid to call the attorney who did our Trust as I am worried I'd get billed for the phone call!

This was a beautiful day!!  I stepped out a few minutes during lunch to feel the sun on my back.  OOohhhh so nice!  It is still nice out now at 6:49PM.  It is 73 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Just the way I like it!

After work today I sat out on the back porch with a book and a glass of wine while dinner was cooking.  Life is good!

Hubby's back is still not too bad.  It isn't wonderful but not as bad as it was before he took the Ibuprofen over the weekend.  I'm glad that he seems to have found something that really helps at least.  I am a bit skeptical only because he has had back issues for a while now.

I never did post that picture I took on March 13th. I was told this is a Red Bud tree and it wasn't at my house but it is on my walk.  It was so beautiful!!  It is pretty much done blooming now.

Monday has come and is almost gone.  Nice walk this morning in 60-ish degree temperatures.  Work day went well.  Not much else new and watching 911 right now so keeping this short.  Hey at least I am posting as promised~!

Guess what?  Last night hubby's back was really hurting him badly.  In fact all yesterday he was being ever so ginger with his movements the entire day and I was handing him his cane again by 8PM.  I strongly urged him to take 2 ibuprofen which he hates to take because his stomach is sensitive and he had a bad experience when he was on over 1000 mg/day a few years ago from a back doctor's decision to prescribe them thinking it would help his back.

So anyway he did take 2 200 mg gel capsules of Ibuprofen and headed for bed before 9PM.  Today I got up, exercised, got some laundry in..and he came back from having gone to a place he picks on Sundays (for antiques).

He had a big smile on his face and I asked him how he was feeling?  He told me when he was leaving to go he put one of our dogs in her kennel and has he was leaning over he heard a large crack and felt something move in his lower back.  The pain was 95% gone!!  He has been fine still!  I keep waiting to see if it comes back again but he's been good.  Thank God!!  I think what may have happened is, the Ibuprofen may have relaxed his back enough to have whatever kink he had,  work itself out.  I'm sure his back was really tight and tense from trying to be careful.  So hope it stays good!

It was perfect outdoors today. Tomorrow morning it is supposed to start out in the 60's already.  I'm psyched !!  No bundling up for my walk.

I was sitting on the back porch after feeding the dogs with my morning coffee and iPhone in hand checking my fitbit stats. I looked down off the porch and decided I knew right away what I was going to do today.  So here are the Before and After pictures of the weeded back garden area.  I did it right after breakfast so that it was still cloudy and cool.

We never got the blue stones fully done last year as you can see.  I want to get the rest of it done this spring which means in the next few months since it is already spring officially now.

Also got a little laundry done and posted some Lularoe I want to sell that still has the tags on them. I'm starting with them and then will move to ones with no tags but are practically brand new.  I started with just a few local groups to see if I could avoid shipping. Not a lot of response yet, guess half off retail isn't quite enticing enough.  I will post to some of the other Facebook groups maybe as early as tomorrow.

I was very relieved not to do my LIVE tonight, though I felt a little guilty.  I am going to do them again, just think I will pick a different day to do them, maybe a slightly later time too, not sure about that.  I may also just do them every 2 weeks instead of every week.  I haven't decided yet.  All I know is that Friday evenings are not doing me any good.

It felt very weird today that we did not order pizza as that has been a Friday evening tradition for years!  We had home made meatloaf instead because we had some ground beef that had to be used and I really didn't mind.  It just didn't feel like a Friday night, lol.  So we are going to get pizza tomorrow and I will probably think tomorrow is Friday then. LOL.

No big weekend plans but I'm sure I'll find something to do.  I'm reading a great set of books with the oldest so I hope she gets caught up soon so that I can get more reading in since I will have time this weekend. :)

Friday eve' yeaahhhh!!!  Productive day today.  I also decided that I am not going to do my LIVE tomorrow.  I have been doing Paparazzi LIVES since September just about every Friday night and don't get much if any traffic/sales.  So I'm taking a break from that for a bit.  I will still do them when I have new things but I'm not sure about doing every Friday night.  One would think by 6 months later, that I'd have a little bit of a following...

This makes me look forward to tomorrow being Friday even more since I don't have the added pressure of doing a LIVE.  We are changing things up a little bit too.  Tomorrow is crock pot meatloaf and we'll do the Pizza on Saturday night.

The gas company is still working on the gas issues in the area.  It has been over a month now, but thankfully our street is still in tact with no forced evacuations.  It is starting to get warmer finally as it should too.  Another good thing!  Now for it to just get lighter earlier...

Hump Day.….is almost over.  Great walk this morning, just still too dark.  LOL

Hubby bought some pre-made dinners at our local grocery store today.  We had seen these when we were shopping a few weekends ago.  His meal was less than $6.00, mine was more (close to $15.00) BUT mine was tenderloin, yes a/k/a filet mignon! They are made fresh daily (we were told) and have a nice selection to choose from.  Anyway here are some photos from my dinner Before to After.  OMG!  This was like eating at a restaurant.  I would easily pay $20+ for this dinner out.  Hubby got a chicken dish. He liked his too.

I'm concerned about my hubby's back.  A year and a half ago he needed an operation to remove part of a herniated disc as he was in so much pain he was bedridden and he said it also felt like someone was bending his leg backwards including his foot.  It is hard for me to describe since I am not the one who experienced it but anyway the operation he had really helped that one problem.

It didn't totally cure his back problems though.  Recently he has back pain in the lower right quadrant so I don't know if this is more disc problems or what but he can barely stand up sometimes.  Today was really rough.  I suggested that he go to a doctor.  We'll see.  He is really not happy with any doctor anymore.  I just hope he doesn't wait until it gets so bad he is bedridden again.

This morning he took my car in to get new tires as they are the original tires on my 2008 Toyota.  They aren't really that worn as I only have a little over 25000 miles on them but they can just get cracked and also rot from the inside out, so it was time for new ones.  That surely didn't help his back as he doesn't like getting inside and out of my car being a small Toyota.

"Monday, Monday....dah dahhhhh dah dah dah duh"(think Mama & Papas)… anyway another Monday conquered!  It was easy to get back into the groove since I worked a little yesterday but I was woken out of a dream when hubby got me up.  He is my alarm clock.  I have an actual clock but he's been the one to get me up.  I guess he likes to.  I never have to worry about over sleeping because he is always up earlier than me.  He is just one of those early birds.

Got my walk in this morning and it was barely light by the time I got done but it is getting lighter a little bit each day.  I'll try very hard to be patient.

Not a real eventful day today after my walk but I did get to 10000+ steps today.  Work was fine, and we had hot dogs and baked beans for dinner.  We haven't had that for dinner in a while so it was actually nice to have for a change.  I like my hot dog split and grilled...yum....

Now that is really bad when I have so little to blog about that I brag about hot dogs and beans.  LOL
Better just stop now while I'm behind.

Today was St Patrick's Day and I started out with Apple Jack cereal and forgot all about the fact that there is green in it!  Then I made sure to dress up for the part even though I don't think there is any Irish in me...it is fun.   I wore all Lularoe, including the sweater because it still isn't warm in Texas!  Well not warm enough for me.

Today I worked part of the morning after exercising. Then I worked on yes taxes a little bit more.  But I finally feel like I have a good handle on it.  We watched a Netflix movie this afternoon too called The Captive. It was pretty good and at least had a decent ending. Also got some laundry done today..yeah I know such an exciting life.  And tomorrow is Monday already....ugh!

Okay I forgot to blog yesterday. In my defense I was knee deep in working on my taxes. Having a business with inventory is a bit daunting. :0)

Will write more later...Happy St Patrick's Day ya'll !!  I'm going to wear green today though I don't think I have any Irish in me.

Past #74... 2019

I was just about to shut things down for the night when I realized that I had not blogged tonight yet.  So I am hopping on really quick to at least write a few lines.

I did my Paparazzi LIVE tonight and unfortunately there was not one person watching at least that I could tell.  But I persevered and I think did a good job.  It was longer one, close to 45 minutes which I purposely did to give more time for folks to hop on.  Enough about that.

Tomorrow is lunch with a friend who is in my Empty Nesters group. She and I were the only 2 who indicated they would be coming.  I was waiting to see the responses and if no one else signed up, I was just going to cancel it.  I think with Spring Break there are those with lots of plans. It happens.

I plan to work on our taxes this weekend. The fun just never ends.  ;-)

I'm finally used to blogging every day and am so proud of myself that I haven't forgotten yet this year!  Go me~ !   I hope these blogs aren't getting too boring but hey my life is more routine than anything else.  I like my life though, easy and relatively stress free.  Tomorrow is Friday, yah!!!  I am sort of debating whether or not to do my Paparazzi Live.  I guess I will.  It is just that I really don't get sales from doing them and I've been doing them since September!  I do sell a few pieces to a ladies group I started and I am grateful for that but it would be nice to get 10 or more people at them and more writing *Sold*   :-)

I was trying to check out a few vendor events that were not too far from me that I might have a booth at.  Both of them though already have a Paparazzi rep signed up.  I don't know if I'll find any vendor events that don't already have a rep. :-(    Oh well.  I'll keep checking around.

Tomorrow is another day. I feel like I sound depressed, so I'll end this post here.  I'm fine, it is just one of those times when I get in a funk about direct sales businesses and too much other competition.  ;-)

Going to turn in for the night soon.  Bye for now...

Post .#72..2019

Today did start out stormy as expected, so I did not walk this morning as planned.  I could hear the wind whipping around 6AM and it was raining off and on from then. It was sort of nice getting up at 7:15AM for once.  The rain was done and out of the area by mid day so I decided that I would take a short walk after work to get some sort of exercise in.  It was very nice.  Sunny, low 70's and perfect walking weather.  I took the old walk I used to take which is a little over half of what I usually do. It was nice to walk in full sunlight for once.

I had my phone with me and snapped a picture of a beautiful tree with purple blossoms on it but I can't send it to myself in Facebook because it is still screwed up. So I'll post it tomorrow.  Tomorrow is Friday 'eve already.  I'm good with that.

I didn't sleep that well last night for about an hour.  Hubby pulled on my pillow a little because I was snoring.  So I got up and used the bathroom but then started a coughing jag which was really hard to try to stop.  So I laid awake for a while trying to get back to sleep while also trying to make sure I didn't snore while holding back the urge to cough.  So that resulted in me just not really sleeping again until hubby got up sometime between 4 and 5 like he does.  It was fine though because I did get to sleep until 7:15AM as I said.  So I got 7hrs and 20 minutes sleep per my fitbit which is good. The days of early walks I get not quite 7 hours sleep so overall it was good.  I hope I don't snore tonight and really don't want to start coughing either.  I did get some ricola cough drops so that I can have one occasionally during the day to help calm my coughs.  I only needed one today.  :-)

Post.#71...2019

Is it only Tuesday?  Yes.  At least I can look forward to hump day tomorrow.  There is a chance of storms late tonight and tomorrow morning and then there is the darkness factor too. Yes I just checked and there is a 90% chance of rain tomorrow when I would be walking.  Also one of the people I walk with already told me she has an early dentist appointment and won't be walking.
So I think I will pass and if it gets nice by the afternoon, I'll settle for just a short walk right after work.  At least it will be daylight by then too!  And the rain is supposed to be out of here by noon as well.

Hubby went to Home Depot today and got some paint samples to look at and think about for our house.  The trim really needs to be painted.  It is very faded and also has permanent yellow (pollen) stains and it hasn't been painted in at least almost 13 years at least (since we moved here in 2005). It is fun looking at the colors.  We are leaning toward a dark teal color.  I was thinking about Maroon, but we don't really care for it tons.

Well back to watching New Amsterdam, one of my favorite medical TV shows.

It was dark this morning for my walk.  I knew it would be but it was also very cloudy so it didn't get light at all the entire walk.  It stated getting a little lighter when we were walking Tika and then by the time I was working it was raining lightly.   According to a website that indicates when sunrise and sunsets occur, it will take until April 29st or so to get to where it was before we turned the clocks back.  So at least I have a goal and am looking forward to April getting here soon.

I noticed that the last 2 or 3 days I've felt nauseous on and off including this morning during the walk.  I was wondering what it could be that was making me feel that way. After I thought about it, I realized that I had taken an allergy pill (Claritin) every other day for the last 6 days or so.  I think maybe that is what was doing it.  I didn't take any today and I don't feel bad right now.  I had taken one yesterday late afternoon and that was the last time.

The pills help somewhat with my coughing but as far as I'm concerned I'd rather deal with coughing than with feeling nauseous or light headed (felt a tiny bit of that too).  So I'm going to not take any this week and see how I feel.  If I feel better then I'm not going to take them anymore.  I don't love coughing but I am pretty used to it.  LOL.  I don't cough 24/7 either.  It is just when I start getting coughing jags, it is hard to stop them.  In the morning I cough and my nose starts running right away. It could be something as easy as allergies to the dogs too.  But I am not going to get rid of the dogs so I'll just continue to deal with it.

Other than that work was okay today.  Not much else is new.  Hubby did go back to Randalls and bought some of the goodies that I had pointed out.  We had a coupon for a free bagel too so he got me triple berry.  It was really good and fresh (I only had half of it so far).

I can't be Sunday night already can it?  Well we lost an hour already today right?  At least those like me that are in Daylight Savings Time in which we turn the clocks ahead an hour did.  So tomorrow will be dark when I head out for my walk but oh well that's what flash lights are for.

I went exploring today with hubby to a grocery store that opened in town a while back but I never went there until this morning.  It is called Randalls. I was very impressed with the layout (nice wide open and spacious), and the selection is huge! They also have a nice looking soup and salad bar and there is a Starbucks located inside as well so I think the tables can also be used by those who use the salad bar. They also had several soups they sold (that were made fresh) as the ones in the soup bar were.  They had great flavors too like Baked potato, Broccoli & cheddar and they even had Lobster Bisque (made fresh) for sale.  It all looked very well blended, tasty and nicely presented.

I pointed out to hubby a lot of things that I would definitely eat.  He took pictures too. I had heard that their prices are much higher than H.E.B. (the closest competitor), but they do have a savings club and we saved some today even though we didn't buy a whole lot.  They had a huge select of YES soups which I love so I stocked up on some of those. They also have a wider selection of Bubly sparkling water (H.E.B only has 2 kinds), so I got some of those too.  There was hardly anyone in the store though, a lot less than there were at H.E.B where we went afterward.  Not that I minded that at all, but it made me wonder if it is hurting for business.

Randalls also has a Monopoly game going and they gave us several game pieces for it and the board (magazine size fold out board) .  It was fun putting the pieces on the board (we used a glue stick) and we also won 2 free items which is nice.  I told hubby overall I'm fine if he does most of the shopping there vs H.E.B.

At H.E.B. hubby did show me all the pre-made meals that they have. There are quite a few of them that I would eat too.  I picked up a Mexican Street Corn salad that I had for lunch today.  It was good, though didn't finish it all.  I took some pictures which as I uploaded them, I suppose don't make the dish look all that appetizing, but I liked it.

Post ..#68...2019

Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody..on no wait I do.   That song just popped into my head.  I didn't do any singing today though.  I did a ton of laundry and there is still more to do.  Usually when I start doing something it evolves into something else. I went upstairs and got dressed and made the bed. Since it was going up to the 80's today,  I opened up the (inside) doors upstairs and with the light shining on the dog kennels, I saw a ton of dust/dog fur that had collected on the floor and around the edges of their kennels.   So I started to move their beds and clean up all around there.  When I moved Bella's bed, I noticed that she had gotten sick at some time which had dried up on her bed.  So I proceeded to take the cover off her bed to wash and her little blanket that was full of dog hair and then decided to go ahead and wash Tika's cover too.   All this just because I went upstairs to get dressed for the day! :)

I feel a lot better that the dogs have clean beds now and I think Bella will be pleasantly surprised when she goes to bed tonight.  She hadn't hesitated at all so I didn't even know her bed was soiled.

I don't know where the day went really. I took photographs of the jewelry I showed last night. That took a while.

Oh we did watch a movie that was on my movie list on Netflix.  We watched Music & Lyrics and I liked it.  It was more of an old fashioned movie with a happy ending. It had Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore in it.

Happy INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!!
Wanted to say that before I forget~ !  It is National Women's History Month as well.
I am woman hear me scream (well I was going to say roar but that is surely a copyrighted
phrase).  LOL.

Women have come a long way since the women's suffrage movement but there are still many
inequalities, especially on the job front.   But hopefully as each woman breaks through the glass ceiling the hole will get bigger and bigger.   :-)

Friday night, watching Blue Bloods, did my Paparazzi LIVE  and luckily no glitches this time.
It got up to 80 degrees today. It was already 66 degrees this morning when I went for my walk.  I'll take it!!

I have some Lularoe I want to sell online so I may do a live in one of the groups that allows that sort of thing this weekend.  Why not, right?

It got up to the mid 70's today!  I took a picture of my fitbit at 74 degrees this afternoon, but it is on my phone and I feel too lazy to send it to myself and upload it and then add to this blog post, so you'll just have to take my word for it.  Yesterday morning it was 27 degrees during my walk.  Tomorrow it may get up to 80 degrees.  But the best part to me is that in the morning it may be about 60 degrees so I don't have to bundle up.

Tomorrow is Friday already!  This week didn't drag as they often do for some reason.  I of course have my Paparazzi LIVE tomorrow night.  I did get some new pieces last week too so I am planning to sell those and some vintage pieces too.

My sister from Ohio is coming out to visit in May, with her son.  It will be nice to see her again.  I just saw her in November at the youngest's wedding so it seems strange that she is coming out so soon again for a visit.  But this time it will be for at least a week so she can get more visiting in along with her son.  I hope she gets some relaxing time in as she can use the break from work.  I plan to take at least a few days off to spend some time with her.

The gas leak issue is still ongoing. They even cut power to a few buildings that are affected by the leaks.  The thing that I find very interesting is that the main street that is affected is one of most main streets in this town.  The road itself has never been closed down.  So I guess there is no possibility of a gas incident or explosion as traffic drives right on by?  I mean the businesses that are closed down are not that far from the road.  But I guess it is not an issue. There are two lanes of traffic going each way and in some spots 3 lanes for a left or right turn lane, so it is a highly traveled road.  Hopefully it will all be done soon and without incident would be nice!

Post.. #65...2019

I got through the walk this morning even though it was 27 degrees out. It wasn't windy so it really wasn't too bad.  It should be warmer when we I walk on Friday.  And hopefully will be the last of the freezing weather.  It was a shorter walk as it was Tika's turn and she just takes a short walk. So I'm only at 9590 steps today.  Don't think I'll quite get to 10,000. I'm not going to walk around the living room until I get 10,000 steps either.

Today was a longer work day so I didn't get done until 6:30pm.  I got a lot accomplished.
But it sure makes the night shorter.  We spent some time watching a few episodes of The Magicians on Netflix.  It is a weird but interesting series.

Here are the pictures that I took yesterday of Bella that I finally downloaded.  She's so adorable!!

It got a little warmer today.  I think it got to 45 degrees.  We're due for one more cold night below freezing but I'm going to walk tomorrow anyway.  It shouldn't be windy so my friend and I are going to bundle up and brave it.

The gas company is still working on taking care of trapped gas and/or minor gas leaks.  "Currently, 61 businesses and 26 residences have been evacuated" according to the latest update. We're still fine but this has been going on since February 20th, so it is a slow process for sure. One of the closed businesses is a funeral home and a woman has been waiting since I think the article indicated since the 25th to bury a loved one. Oye! I got a few cute pictures of Bella wearing her sweater this morning but I haven't downloaded them yet so I'll post them tomorrow.

I can't believe that the coldest nights/morning here in Texas this entire winter are happening in March!  This morning I did not walk as it was very cold with wind chills in the teens.  It is already down to 27 degrees right now and it may dip to 23 degrees by morning.  I am not sure what the wind chill will be but thankfully I did hear that the winds are supposed to die down this evening (they may have already, I don't know).  When I let the dogs out in about 40 minutes, I'll find out then.  We've spoiled one of the dogs so much that she will not go potty unless we are out there with her (at night anyway).  So I will be standing out there are few minutes at least.

Tomorrow is my exercise in the house day so I won't have to walk in the frigid cold tomorrow morning either.  I sure hope my friend doesn't walk.  She is 80 years old and even though she walks more than I do, I think that is just too cold for an older person to walk in.

By Wednesday the really cold temperatures are supposed to end.  I'm hoping for good then until next year. I remember many days in March in years past where the days got up to the 80's.

Oh and the gas company is still digging up holes at various locations.  I don't know if anything is getting resolved or not.  But I am sure glad that our street has not been affected yet. Fingers crossed!

Winter will be back with a vengeance tomorrow morning.  The weather forecast is that the wind chill may be in the teens like 18 degrees and have winds of about 20 mph.   I was okay with totally wrapping myself up for the cold...but when I heard that it will be windy too...that was the changing factor.  I called the gal I usually walk with and suggested we skip walking.  She agreed and her hubby had also already told her that she shouldn't walk.  So I'm glad.  Yes it is good to walk.  But it is nuts to walk when it is that cold and there is also a slight chance of precipitation.  I know those who live in the North may think this is not that bad of a forecast but you have to remember this is Texas where it is generally warm to hot!  LOL.

I did a few hours of scheduled work this morning and then got my shower after that.  Hubby was going to the antique mall where we rent a few booths and I told him I wanted to tag along and look around.  It was enjoyable and I got a very nice David Winter cottage that I do not have.  I already have 6 but it has been years since I have purchased any.  It was a great price and I also got the 10% vendor discount.  Here are some pictures of it.  I love the detail on these cottage. That is what I love about them the most.

I spent some time singing this afternoon on Singsnap too so I was glad to do some fun things today too.

Today I had lunch with the gals at a local Mexican restaurant that was not closed due to any gas leaks.  So that was nice.  It was a nice leisurely lunch with a bunch of chatty ladies - I'm so glad to have friends!! :)

Did a little bathroom cleaning today but then we watched a movie on Netflix that I thought looked good. I get a new notification each week I think when the new Netflix movies are coming out. It was called Wakefield.  And it was one of those movies where at the end you have to draw your own conclusion as to how it ends.  I hate those kind of movies.  All the newer ones seem to have either that sort of ending or a bad ending, like a main character dies or something.  Not a great movie! :-(

I plan to spend some time singing tomorrow as it has been a while.  It is always uplifting and once I start singing I am so glad that I did!

Tonight for my LIVE the Internet connection kept losing connection and it wasn't the greatest LIVE. But I am not doing it again.  I posted a picture of the fashion fix sets in the comments for anyone who wants to see them better.

There has been in our town a gas leak going on and it is not too far from my neighborhood. It has been going on for nearly two weeks and several businesses have been closed on the main road and some homes evacuated as well.  Anyway this afternoon I heard that they had it under control finally and were replacing some gas lines.

Well we turn on the news this evening and find out there are more areas affected.  UGH.  I really hope it doesn't spread this far.  I would totally understand why but I would not want to vacate the house with 3 dogs and potentially no reliable Internet to work - not that it was great tonight but today's work day it was working fine.

I sure hope they get a handle on all this soon!  I feel sorry for the businesses that have had to be closed for close to 2 weeks too.  That lack of income must really suck!

I have my Empty Nesters lunch group tomorrow at a restaurant not far from there so I'm going to call in the morning to make sure they are still going to be opened for lunch.
